Customer Care Programme

Girls shoppingFocused on the needs of the service industry, this programme aims to develop the individual to enable them to deliver the highest standards of customer service. The Academy of Excellence has designed the programme:

"To develop the potential of people to achieve standards of excellence in the service industry, making Liverpool a welcoming, exciting city in which to do business, work, live and visit"

During the creation and design of the programme the Academy has worked with local employers, community and voluntary groups and training providers to ensure the programme is relevant, contains sufficient detail and technical knowledge and information to reflect your needs and those of the service industry today. As a result of this consultation the programme has been formatted on a modular basis. A flexible approach to training includes training sessions to support each module and a variety of assessment methods.

What?

The customer service skills programme is made up of 13 modules specific to customer service industry generic to any area and 1 module especially designed for the City of Liverpool. This flexible training programme allows you to decide which and how many modules you wish to include in your programme. Also where you start and how you go through the programme is up to you, your ATC may also be able to provide you with some help on making your decision.

Who?

Who is it for? The programme is available to you if you are:

  • aready working, particularly those employed in the service industry
  • not currently employed but are interested in learning about how to provide good customer service and/or want to improve your employment prospects.     

You are welcome to participate in the programme! 

Remember:  

  • There is no charge for this programme
  • Considerable cost and time has been taken to developed this programme but it is available to you at no direct cost through the support of your employer or community/training organisation.
  • There is no age limit
  • There is no need for prior experience or qualifications
  • The programme welcomes all races, religions, cultures and abilities

Then what happens?

  • Decide if the programme is right for you
  • Complete the pre-programme interview and registration form with your ATC
  • Negotiate your own learning plan - decide which modules you want to complete and how, identify how you want to be assessed and agree the timescales to complete your learning
  • Complete the programme, using the resources provided, with the support of your ATC
  • Once you have successfully completed your learning plan - Congratulations! You can then meet with your ATC to review your learning, agree any future actions and explore any opportunities to put in to practice your excellent customer care skills!
